1. Bookends

First, pour hot water onto the record just below the label over a baking pan, so that the vinyl becomes soft and bendy. Use a cutting board to bend the soft half to a right angle. Be careful not to burn your fingers while doing so. Repeat this method on another record so that you can use them as bookends.

2. Cake Stand

For this hack, you'll need records in the following sizes: 7 inches, 10 inches and 12 inches. Make sure that the 7-inch single has a small hole in the middle like the other records. Order the records so that the largest is at the bottom and the smallest is at the top. You'll need the rod and holders from a cake stand set to keep everything in place.

3. Bowls

First place a record on top of an upside-down small glass bowl in the oven. Set the temperature to 300°F to make the record soft. Place a larger bowl on top and wait for around one minute so the record can take it's new shape. Once out of the oven and cooled, your old record will make the perfect snack bowl at parties.

4. Clock

Here's another smart and stylish hack for your unwanted records. If your clock has broken or no longer appeals to you, simply remove the clock's mechanism and attach it to the rear side of a record.
