MANILA, Philippines – Filipino boxer Merlito “Tiger” Sabillo stopped Colombian boxer Jorle Estrada in the ninth round to retain his WBO minimumweight title in the main event of “Pinoy Pride 21: When Worlds Collide.” In his first fight in Manila, Sabilla crippled Estrada with a vicious hook to the body in the ninth round to end their 12-round bout. With the win, Sabillo extended his unbeaten run to 23 fights. Other Filipinos in the Pinoy Pride card also won their respective matches. Arthur Villanueva won via a fourth round referee stoppage over Mexico’s Arturo Badillo, while AJ Banal also defeated Abraham Gomez. -- Mornings @ ANC, July 15, 2013
