Balushahi is a traditional dessert originating from the Indian subcontinent. It is popular sweet from the Indian subcontinent. Balushahi is similar to a glazed doughnut in terms of ingredients but differs in texture and taste.

Ingredients:
(Serves 4)
- 400 gms Sugar
- 200 ml Water
- 1 cup Refined Flour
- 1/4 cup Ghee
- 1/4 tsp Baking Soda
- 1 tsp Curd
- Salt
- 1/4 cup Water
- Emami Healthy & Tasty Refined Rice Bran Oil
- Powdered Sugar
Method:
1. Put sugar and water in the pan to make sugar syrup. Keep stirring and let it boil on a high flame for around 5-7 minutes
2. Take Refined flour and ghee in a large bowl and mix it with your hands
3. Now add baking soda, curd, salt in the same large bowl, and mix it again
4. Add water in the bowl to make a dough. Knead it, cover it with a damped cloth and keep it aside to rest for 5-10 minutes
5. Now, in a different pan take Emami Healthy & Tasty Refined Rice Bran Oil and heat it
6. Make 10-15 grams of dough balls from the balushahi dough, and press it from the center
7. Start dipping these dough balls into Emami Healthy & Tasty Refined Rice Bran Oil and fry them in batches
8. First heat it on a low flame, and once these balushahi rises and float on the surface, switch the flame to medium
9. Fry them till the balushahi turns golden brown in color
10. Once these balushahi turns golden brown, remove it on an absorbent paper over a plate and let it rest for around 5 minutes
11. Now, if the sugar syrup is ready, take it out in a bowl and dip balushahi's into it
12. Next step is to drain-out extra sugar syrup with the help of a tray or a rack and let it rest for around 10-12 minutes
13. Now, dust in some powdered sugar from the top
