Ingredients:-
10 slices of white bread, ground to powder
1 tbsp milk powder
1/4 tsp cardamom powder
1 tbsp fresh cream
4 tbsp of milk
Sugar crystals
For sugar syrup -
1 cup of sugar
1/2 cup of water
Method:-
The Gulab Jamuns:-
In a mixer/grinder, grind the bread slices into a fine powder and transfer it to a bowl. Add milk powder, cardamom powder, cream, milk (2 tbsp. at a time) and knead a dough of this mixture. Make balls of the dough, make a depression and place a sugar crystal in it. Seal and roll the dough again into a ball. Repeat for the rest of the dough.
Heat oil on a medium flame and fry the balls till golden brown in colour.
The Sugar Syrup:-
In a kadhaai add sugar and water and bring it to a boil while stirring continuously. Once the syrup is boiled and reduce the flame to medium and boil for exactly 8 minutes. After 8 minutes up, add cardamom powder and then add the Gulab Jamuns and boil them for 2 minutes.
Delicious Bread Gulab Jamuns are ready to eat!
