Cayetano appalled by idea of Napoles as state witness

MANILA -- Senator Alan Peter Cayetano on Thursday said he is appalled that Janet Lim Napoles may be made a state witness. Napoles is the alleged brains in the P10 billion pork barrel scam. The businesswoman, who is facing serious illegal detention charges, surrendered to President Aquino Wednesday night. The Senate Blue Ribbon Committee on Thursday began its probe into the alleged pork barrel scam. "It is very important that we find the whole truth in this committee and in the inter-agency or whatever legal forum there is so that we will not be forced to excuse people or to make them state witnesses just because sila lang ang may information.
