Thousands of families were forced to evacuate as strong winds and torrential rains brought by super typhoon "Yolanda" hit Negros Occidental. Authorities said over 3,000 families from 69 barangays have already left their homes. All commercial establishments in the province, including malls and banks, have been closed.
