MANILA – At least 100 homes were razed by fire in Mandaue City, Cebu on Monday evening. The fire erupted at a residential area in Sitio Morpha in Barangay Bakilid past 9 p.m. The fire reached Task Force Alpha and was declared under control 41 minutes after it erupted. SFO3 Roy Garcia, Mandaue City fire investigator, said initial probe showed that the fire began at the house of a certain Rodrigo Barangan. The cause of the blaze, however, has yet to be determined. The cost of damage from the fire was estimated between P400,000 and P500,000.
