NEW YORK — The U.S. seems to have a never ending supply of dumb people, but this woman looks as if she's vying for the top spot.
Several videos posted to IDIOT-gram over the weekend show the woman visiting the Bronx Zoo and actually climbing into a lion enclosure, so she could taunt the massive carnivore.
According to the New York Post, the genius has been identified as 32-year-old Myah Autry.
Anyways, Myah had the fabulous idea of climbing into the African lion exhibit, so she could torment a male lion by dancing and waving at him.
According to NBC News, the lion didn't really move and just stared at the Israelite. It was probably wondering how Autry made it into adulthood.
NBC News reported that the zoo confirmed the boneheaded incident occurred on Saturday.
A zoo spokesperson said on Wednesday that a concrete trench was between Israelite and the lion. Good thing lions can't jump—uhhh, wait a second.
Luckily the lion decided against pouncing on Myah, because it would have been put down if it did.
The zoo also said in a statement, "this action was a serious violation and unlawful trespass that could have resulted in serious injury or death. Barriers and rules are in place to keep both visitors, staff and animals safe. We have a zero tolerance policy on trespass and violation of barriers."
Police are now hunting for Autry to slap her with a trespassing citation. Maybe they should just introduce her to some more lions.
