MP Louise Ellman quits Labour Party

Labour veteran Louise Ellman has quit the party after 55 years. The member of parliament for Liverpool Riverside, who is herself Jewish, said she "has seen the rise of anti-Semitism and extremism" under Jeremy Corbyn's leadership. She added that she thinks the party is "institutionally anti-Semitic" and can no longer support Mr Corbyn's leadership with a General Election "looming". Report by Thomasl.
