A North Sea oil rig was subject to huge waves smashing against it as a storm brought bad weather off the coast of Scotland on October 29.
Disorientating footage shows countless waves approach the oil rig as strong winds are heard in the audio.
The filmer told Newsflare: "This is maybe a few times each winter, sometimes it can last for days on end.
"I've worked in the industry for eight years and love to be among extreme weather, and this can be fairly typical of an offshore worker while out at sea over winter.
"[There is] a sort of weird enjoyment can be had watching it smash into the structure and feel it move.
"It's a true testament to the impressive engineering that our oil rig can withstand weather like this."
