일본, 액체 불화수소도 수출 허가…3개 규제 품목 모두 '통과'
Some four months after Japan announced export curbs on three high-tech materials to South Korea, Japan has given Seoul its first green light on the export of liquid hydrogen fluoride, one of the restricted materials.
Industry sources said Saturday that Tokyo has allowed the Japanese firm Stella Chemifa to export liquid hydrogen fluoride to South Korea.
Under Tokyo's new rules, Japanese companies are required to apply for an individual license to export the restricted materials to South Korea, a process that can take up to 90 days.
The other materials under restrictions are fluorinated polyimide and photoresist, but they were approved for export in August and September.
Experts say Japan's latest move appears to be an attempt to show its curbs do not run counter to the WTO's trade norms.
