Maha portfolio allocation: Ministers will join office from Monday, says Nawab Malik

Maharashtra Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari has approved the allocation of portfolios as proposed by Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray today morning (January 05). “The work has been distributed among the ministers and definitely from Monday every minister will join the office and will take responsibility,” said Nawab Malik. Shiv Sena's Abdul Sattar has been appointed as Minister of State (MoS) of Revenue, Rural Development, Port Land Development and Special Assistance. He was rumoured to have resigned from the Maharashtra ministry, as he did not get a cabinet rank. Cheif Minister of Maharashtra, Uddhav Thackeray will hold the charge of Ministry of General Administration, Information and Technology, Information and Public Relations, Law and Judiciary and other departments which have not been allocated to any other Minister.Nawab Malik has been allocated portfolios of Minority Development and Aukaf, Skill Development and Entrepreneurship. Chhagan Bhujbal has been given ministries of Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Protection. More to that, Balasaheb Thorat has been allocated Revenue Ministry and Aaditya Thackeray has given the portfolio of Environment, Tourism and Protocol. Home Ministry has been allocated to Anil Deshmukh and Urban Development Ministry has been allocated to Eknath Shinde. Ministry of Finance and Ministry of Planning has been allocated to Deputy CM Ajit Pawar, Ministry of Industry and Mining and Ministry of Marathi language has been allocated to Subhash Desai.
