For 30 days now, the women of Shaheen Bagh, a Muslim neighbourhood in South Delhi have braved the winter cold to occupy a small patch of road day and night in protest against the Citizenship (Amendment) Act and National Register of Citizens which they say are part of the BJP's plan to render lakhs of Muslim citizens stateless. Their 'satyagraha' has drawn women and men from other parts of Delhi to join them in solidarity and also inspired citizens across India to come out and peacefully challenge the CAA-NRC.
