South Korea's GDP ranked tenth among 38 advanced and emerging economies in 2019, down two notches from the previous year.
That's according to the OECD, which says Asia's fourth-largest economy totaled one-point-six trillion U.S. dollars in nominal GDP last year... marking the country's first drop in the global GDP ranking since the 2008 global financial crisis.
As for the nominal economic growth last year, South Korea's stood at 1-point-4 percent... the third-lowest among 47 countries surveyed by the Paris-based organization.
Meanwhile, a survey of industry groups around the world has found that more than half expect the impact of the COVID-19 on the global economy to last longer than a year.
The OECD surveyed businesses in 20 member states which together account for 73 percent of the world's GDP.
