신규확진 168명, 사흘째 100명대…소폭 감소세속 산발감염 지속
South Korea reported 169 new COVID-19 cases on Saturday, keeping the figure below two-hundred for three days in a row.
But local health authorities remain on high alert as existing cluster infections continue to expand and create new ones.
Most of the new cases are from the Seoul metropolitan area.
To better control the virus prevention system, the government has extended level two-point-five social distancing measures for the greater Seoul area for another week.
The enhanced rules were due to expire this Sunday.
However, 'Level Two' guidelines will be maintained for other regions until September 20th.
That means indoor gatherings of more than 50 people, including religious gatherings, are prohibited.
