This is the moment US cops carry out a house raid and find of meth, ecstasy and other harmful substances as part of a Mississippi crackdown on drugs. The arrest was made as part of a drug crackdown in Forrest County and the city of Hattiesburg in the southern US state of Mississippi on 29th September. The Forrest County Sheriff's Office said on Facebook: “Members of the Hattiesburg Police Department (Official), Forrest County Sheriff’s Department, Metro Narcotics, Alcohol, Tobacco & Firearms (ATF), and Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics agents served multiple arrest warrants in Forrest County and the City of Hattiesburg.” In total, nine individuals have been arrested, seven weapons have been recovered, and around 5 lbs (2.26 kilograms) of meth, ecstasy, marijuana, Xanax bars, and other illegal narcotics were seized during the arrests. Sheriff Charlie Sims said: “Today's arrests are a culmination of hard work, collaboration, and cooperation between multiple agencies to make our communities safer. “Crime and drugs have no jurisdictional boundaries and coordinated efforts and information sharing always produces superior results. I want to personally thank all of the agencies involved for a successful operation." U.S. Attorney Hurst said: “Under Project EJECT, we are taking drug dealers and violent criminals off our streets and making our communities safer. “Today’s announcement of the indictment and arrest of nine prominent drug dealers in the Pine Belt is a result of the important work that these brave men and women in law enforcement have been doing to clean up our streets, make our neighbourhoods safe, and protect our citizens.”
