Residents from Hornbeam on the Biddick Woods estate in Shiney Row have created their own Fenwick Christmas window-inspired display based on the story of The Snowman by Raymond Briggs.
Each household took a scene from the story and decorated the windows of their homes in the hope of raising funds for The People’s Kitchen, a charity supporting hundreds of homeless and vulnerable people across Newcastle.
The series of windows are illuminated from 4pm to 6pm every Saturday until Christmas, with people invited to go along to see the windows and make a donation to the cause.
