A study published in the Journal Climatic change surveyed Americans between 27 and 45 years old about their concern of raising children in a world that suffers dramatically of climate change. .
People that participated in the study have different backgrounds, ethnicities and familial status but the response was almost unanimous.
More than 96% were concerned about their children, existing or not, living in a world dominated by environmental issues.
The study showed that younger participants were actually more concerned about the matter and that they feel deeply concerned about climate change effects.
The concern about having kids comes from expecting a bad outcome regarding climate change. They do not feel that the situation could change and that it will only go worse.
