Sri Anjeneyar (Hanuman) Temple is located at Batu 5, Jalan Pantai belongs to Port Dickson district in Negeri Sembilan state of Malaysia (out of India).

A small temple along the roadside, Temple is near to 70 year old. Parking could be a problem though, there are few stalls here selling pooja items and flower garlands. The temple itself have a divine feeling and positive vibrant. By entering the temple you can feel a great aura of peace and happiness. The smell of the incense will make you feel great. The sea view from the temple is great and it is a holy place. So, respectful clothing should be observed. Shoes will need to be removed prior to entering the temple.

Heard that the anjaneyar turned his body towards the sea during Tsunami. The distinctive features of this temple is that Sri Anjaneyar had turned his direction facing the Straits of Malacca. The presence of Lord Anjaneyar is very much a vocal point in this powerful temple. Jai Hanuman!

Legends say that Lord Hanuman turned his face to the sea. There is even proof that the Lord Hanuman's statue really turned. A British tourist once came to this temple many years ago and took a photograph of Lord Hanuman’s statue. It was facing straight. Few years later, when this same British tourist came and took photos he was shocked to see that The Lord’s Statue now faces the sea. It was really moved.

There were many versions of stories that supported this event, some said that during the early days, meat was offered in the temple and as a sign of not accepting the offering, the statue began to respond to such activities by turning itself to face the sea.

Another version says that, due to the immerse friendship of lord Hanuman towards Lord Shri Raam, the idol with the presence of Hanuman had miraculously turn itself to the direction of Rameswaram, as a sign of proof that existence Hanuman is beyond doubt. In the year 1954, a shrine was believed to be constructed by members of the Army from the PD Army battalion.

At one time, a foreign photographer had earlier taken photos of the shrine, and went again to the shrine to take additional photos. He was stunned at the change of Lord Anjaneyar’s head and immediately informed the local dailies.
