A street sweeper cleans the People Power Monument in Dasmarinas, Cavite on Feb. 24, 2021, a day before the nation commemorates the 35th anniversary of the People Power Revolution that ousted then president Ferdinand Marcos in 1986. Meanwhile, the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority said it saw no need to close the roads leading to the People Power Monument along EDSA on February 25. The monument was built under former president Fidel V. Ramos to honor the Filipinos whose peaceful revolt inspired other nations to take on a similar path to change.
