'A stronger Mindanao means a stronger Philippines'  President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.  leads the 17th Meeting of the National Government-Bangsamoro Government Intergovernmental Relations Body at the Philippine International Convention Center (PICC) in Pasay City on Thursday, Feb. 8, 2024. In his speech, the President said "there is only one true peace when the bloody tally of war is replaced with the scoreboard of development and that scoreboard shows that peace has won, that the war is over." 00:49 And I assure you, these are just a few entries

00:52 into your thick catalog of achievements.

00:55 They just highlight the things that matter most for me,

00:59 for whom we are walking the hard, but high road to peace.

01:04 Because peace is neither found in the documents

01:07 that we exchange, nor in the evidence

01:09 of our agreements, nor in the minutes of these meetings.

01:14 Peace for people is found in jobs created, schools opened,

01:19 farms irrigated, new hospitals opened,

01:22 roads constructed, businesses launched.

01:26 Plus, there is only one true peace,

01:28 and the bloody valley of war is replaced

01:31 with a scoreboard of confounding.
