A look around the Petwood Hotel in Woodhall Spa.

Wealthy heiress Baroness Grace van Eckhardstein built the Petwood in her favourite wood (or “pet wood” as she called it). Grace and her second husband, politician Sir Archibald Weigall entertained many celebrities of the early 1900s at the Petwood, including aristocrats, MPs to music hall stars and sporting greats.

The house served as a military convalescence hospital during the First World War. During the Second World War, the Petwood served as the home of the 617 “Dambusters” Squadron officers.

Thanks for watching.
