Thirty One is a fun points based card game that you can play with a friend or a big group of people. The goal of the game is simple try to get a high score so you can hold onto your tokens and be the last player standing. Dont worry if you are a little confused at first once you learn the rules of Thirty One and get the hang of it you will be strategizing and winning in no time Find 2 9 people to play with. Thirty One can be played with up to 9 people. You dont need to have 9 players but you do need at least 2 including yourself.
Deal out 3 cards face down to each player. These 3 cards will make up each players hand. Make sure the cards are face down so that no one knows what cards everyone has.
Place the deck face down in the center and flip the top card up next to it. The remainder of the deck thats face down in the middle of the playing area will be the draw pile. The face up card next to it will be the discard pile.
Give each player 3 tokens to start with. You can use anything as tokens like poker chips coins or game pieces. These tokens will be used later in the game to determine which players get to stay in for another round and which ones are out.
