Serving as an example of religious harmony and contributing to the cause, Mumbai’s Mahaveer Jain Temple has been converted into a Covid-19 vaccination centre in order to ramp up the immunisation drive in the city. Located in the JB Nagar of Andheri east area of the financial capital of India, this Jain derasar or temple has been converted into a full-fledged vaccination centre. The centre is fully equipped with CCTV cameras, refrigerators to store vaccine vials along separate rooms for doctors. The managing committee that looks after the temple decided to set-up the requisite infrastructure to support the vaccination drive. For the same, the site was also covered from the top so that immunisation could go smoothly even in rains. Similarly, Temples, Gurudwaras and other religious places are also making arrangements and taking steps to help the needy amid the pandemic and serve a greater cause.
