Goats are being sold in Delhi and Lucknow markets ahead of Eid al-Adha festival. Eid al-Adha, also known as “Bakrid”, is the second most important holiday among Muslims, first being Eid al-Fitr. On Eid al-Adha, devotees offer prayer at mosques after the sun rise.
The cost of goats sold in these markets range from thousands to lakhs of rupees. It is believed that on this day, no one should remain hungry.
