Andhra Pradesh has been battered by heavy rainfall. Normal life has been disrupted. India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted light to moderate rainfall at most places. The weather department predicted heavy to very heavy rainfall at a few places. Extremely heavy rainfall is expected at isolated places over south coastal Andhra Pradesh over the next two days. Nellore and Chittoor districts have been witnessing floods. An alert has been sounded. Control rooms have been set up in Chittoor & Nellore. IMD had said that by November 11 evening, a well-marked low-pressure area over Bay of Bengal will cross north Tamil Nadu and adjoining south Andhra Pradesh coasts between Karaikal and Sriharikota close to north of Puducherry.
