Bury FC are the first club to be expelled from the Football League since Kentish side Maidstone United, 27 years ago.

The Stones had to drop out on the eve of the 1992/93 season due to financial difficulties.

A special Maidstone fan is now criticising the way the EFL has coped with the issue.
