What is a Hypothesis?

A hypothesis is a proposed statement or a superstition made on the basis of limited evidence. The basic concept is that there is no a pre-determined outcome. The entire process of writing a hypothesis is not complicated. If you want to write a top-notch hypothesis, you should ensure that you make it clear by using a simple language. By going through your hypothesis, the reader or lecture should be able to tell what was going through your mind or what was projected to happen when you began your project. Other characteristics of a good hypothesis are; they should explain an outcome, they should be clear and easy to understand, and finally, it should be measurable as well as testable. There are six different types of hypothesis, which include; simple, complex, directional, non-directional, alternative, and null hypothesis. To come up with a good hypothesis, you must ensure it does not lack essential elements such as the cause, effect, and the rationale. In other words, a hypothesis should comprise of a problem, the proposed solutions, and the results.
