Queensland records 2222 new cases of COVID-19

There's been a big increase in cases in Queensland, with 2222 new cases of COVID-19 recorded in the past day, yet another record for the state. There are still no patients in intensive care in Queensland hospitals. The state is yet to reach its 90 per cent double vaccination target.
