After the agitation took place in Bihar against alleged irregularities in Railway Recruitment Board's exam, Samajwadi Party Chief Akhilesh Yadav on January 26 termed the incident as ‘unfortunate’ and said this time every youth will work to defeat Bharatiya Janata Party in upcoming Assembly Elections.

“Incident happened on the eve of Republic Day, it's unfortunate. Our Constitution, our country will go forward only when youth's future is bright. They're hitting the future of the youth with batons and insulting them. This time, every youth will work to defeat BJP,” said Akhilesh Yadav.

"Whenever youth asked for jobs, their rights, state government hit them with batons. Unfortunate the Police looked for youth, vandalised hostels, hit the students. Several exams were cancelled here, paper leaked. Youth is against this government this time,” added SP Chief.
