On February 16, Russia said military drills in Crimea had ended. Russia said that soldiers were returning. However, Jens Stoltenberg, NATO Secretary-General, urged Moscow again on February 16, to prove that it is pulling back troops amid tensions. Antony Blinken, US Secretary of State spoke to Sergei Lavrov, Russian Foreign Minister. Blinken said they need to see verifiable, credible, meaningful de-escalation. The UK is also not sure about Russia’s claims. Ben Wallace, British Defence Minister told Sky News, “What we haven't seen is evidence of withdrawal that has been claimed by the Kremlin.” Watch the video to know more.
