Rodney Greenwood, as a young lad joining the family business in coal haulage, took it back to its origins by building a horse and cart just like his grandfather used. It was to fuel a passion - and then a career - as one of the country's last wheelwrights. Since that time he's built around 25 horse drawn carts and carriages, such as the dreys used by Sam Smiths and restoring old war ambulances. When lockdown came it gave him the chance to finally finish a project he started 15 years ago - building his very own Victorian horse-drawn omnibus from century old plans.
