The government is committed to ensuring that permanent employees of government-linked companies (GLCs) and government-linked investment companies (GLICs) are paid at least RM1,500 a month.
Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob said that at the launch of the GLC Open Day 2022 on Friday (March 11), added this minimum income level should be practised by the private sector to help workers address the cost of living challenges.
Ismail Sabri also called on every listed GLC to achieve a level of female participation of at least 30 per cent board members by the annual general meeting in 2023.
