00:00Let's count together. 3, 2, 1.
00:12Let's witness this historic moment.
00:18Today, we get together to mourn, to celebrate, to remember...
00:25...the 75th anniversary of the establishment of TNB...
00:33...after serving the people and the country for 75 years.
00:39This achievement is the readiness of its management...
00:45...to carry out its duties in accordance with the demands of the times.
00:50One of the most interesting things that I have done before this...
00:56...is a meeting for a year or two with the management...
01:03...to report on the achievements from the perspective of the benefits...
01:09...of the achievement after the establishment.
01:14I started by expressing my appreciation to them...
01:17...and I keep emphasizing that there are main tasks.
01:22It's not a corporate company that should be proud of its benefits...
01:27...and the level of efficiency.
01:29But we have to be careful.
01:31First, there should be a fair and just defense...
01:35...to every manager and employee as low as possible.
01:40Any agency, institution, or company...
01:44...will not succeed only with the intelligence of the management...
01:48...that is needed, commitment and discipline of its employees...
01:53...in all aspects.
01:56We see a clean agency.
01:59It means that the cleaner should be considered.
02:02We have food supplies.
02:04It means that the food supplier should be considered.
02:08That's our approach.
02:10Especially when we introduce the concept of a civilized country.
02:15We want a country with a clean and fresh growth...
02:21...that is more organized.
02:23But it doesn't leave...
02:27...the same base.
02:30The demand for new things, including digital transformation...
02:34...energy transition, industrial development...
02:38...semi-conductor at the front end.
02:43All of those should be considered.
02:46But at the same time, our challenge is to make sure...
02:52...that we are special because we are human.
02:57Because we take the principle of charity and compassion seriously...
03:03...and value every contribution of all employees in all levels.
03:09Only then will corporate become a healthy tradition and culture.
03:14TNB now, after its record...
03:18...in various fields...
03:20...is now challenged...
03:23...to immediately make changes...
03:27...and make preparations.
03:29That's why I say congratulations and thank you...
03:32...to the management...
03:34...because they continue to plan through neat education...
03:41...and find ways and methods...
03:44...so that the energy transition process...
03:47...runs smoothly and effectively.
03:50If we want to move forward and ensure that Malaysia succeeds...
03:55...we must have the determination to act.
04:01Change.
04:03Act immediately and boldly.
04:06We will manage ASEAN next year.
04:10And what is our focus? Both involve TNB.
04:14This is a big challenge.
04:16Better get cracking, I tell you.
04:20Two main challenges and priorities.
04:24For ASEAN...
04:27...when we assume the chairmanship next year...
04:34...to ensure that we...
04:37...Malaysia and the region...
04:40...become a major hub for energy in this region.
04:48And secondly...
04:50...to ensure...
04:52...that there is what is called ASEAN Grid.
04:58Which precisely means...
05:01...that the transmission...
05:04...from the traditional Pakal Pasir Gudang...
05:07...has to be strengthened...
05:12...with new facilities.
05:14Whether it is energy from Sarawak to Johor...
05:19...or from Laos to Singapore through Malaya.
05:24This is what is called a national...
05:27...and the ASEAN Grid.
05:30This is a big challenge...
05:32...because the investment is tens of billions of ringgit.
05:36And I believe TNB is now working on that...
05:40...thinking about how to succeed.
05:42The government is aware that the investment is too big...
05:45...and the government is thinking of ways...
05:48...so that TNB together with other corporations...
05:53...can achieve this ASEAN Grid.
05:56And one last thing I want to emphasize.
06:00When I announced...
06:03...a new salary for public servants...
06:15...it was not easy.
06:23Because the government's income is increasing...
06:26...but the debt is more than one trillion.
06:29And because of that, I have seen...
06:32...that I have pressured the government...
06:34...not to allow any leaders...
06:37...to steal people's property.
06:44And...
06:46...I also know...
06:48...our public servants, our relatives...
06:51...and their families.
06:54For 12 years...
06:56...there has been no study and no increase in salary.
07:00If I want to increase it by one or two percent...
07:03...I can't do it.
07:05I want to send a message...
07:07...that in this job...
07:10...we have to work seriously and be responsible...
07:13...because we are responsible to Allah SWT.
07:16For the government, there must be responsibility.
07:19That's why I announced a salary.
07:22And in my system, it's different from before.
07:25What's the difference?
07:27The top management is increasing.
07:30The bottom management is increasing.
07:36So that...
07:38...the gap is not too high.
07:41The gap is not too big...
07:44...between the two sources of income.
07:47I'm talking about the government...
07:50...not the company, including TNB.
07:54And the cost for 2025...
07:57...is 10 billion ringgit.
08:00But...
08:02...I think...
08:04...I want them to work harder.
08:07I'm more strict with their laziness...
08:10...laziness, laziness...
08:13...or corruption.
08:16If I want them to work harder...
08:19...and be more productive...
08:22...then I'll increase the wage.
08:25And Alhamdulillah, it's well received.
08:28I'll increase it by part of December...
08:31...and by part of January and by part of February.
08:35This has nothing to do with TNB.
08:43Okay.
08:45No matter what...
08:53I thank...
08:56...the top management...
08:59...and the top management of TNB.
09:01Because I agree...
09:07...to make...
09:10...GLC the first company...
09:15...to be a government agency.
09:20The first to increase the minimum wage...
09:23...of TNB members.
09:25The first to increase the minimum wage...
09:28...of TNB members.
09:31Then...
09:34...to pass the wage increase and income...
09:37...for all TNB employees.
09:43I see...
09:46...the top management...
09:49...and the top management are worried.
09:52So, I'm...
09:55...thankful, Alhamdulillah, to be able to work together.
09:57There are several programs.
09:59Vendor.
10:02Poverty.
10:05Education of children.
10:08Their housing. All of that has to be considered.
10:11Because I don't value...
10:13...the success of TNB...
10:14...just for the sake of it.
10:16Even though it's important.
10:17In terms of the benefits.
10:18But to become...
10:22...a successful company...
10:24...that records the benefits...
10:27...can run effectively...
10:29...and efficiently...
10:31...while maintaining...
10:33...the welfare...
10:34...of its children.
