Bhagavad Gita 3.13-14

The devotees being always in a compact of love with Lord Krishna, cannot accept anything without first offering it to Him. Therefore, such devotees always perform sacrifices in different modes of devotional service, such as hearing about Krishna, chanting about Him, remembering Him, and worshiping Him. These sacrifices keep them always aloof from all kinds of contamination of sinful association in the material world.
