Judge HP Sandesh of the Karnataka High Court has alleged that he was being pressured and threatened over his remarks to the state’s Anti-Corruption Bureau for pulling up the additional director general of police (ADGP). Justice Sandesh made the remarks on camera during the hearing of the bail petition of Urban tehsildar Mahesh PS. The tehsildar was reportedly caught while accepting a bribe of Rs 5 lakh. Judge Sandesh also said that he was not scared and interested in protecting his position but would not accept the threats to not prosecute senior bureaucrats while non-consequential workers were put in jail.
