The debut album of a native of Naples, who moved with his parents to Montreal as a child. In 1967, Walter Rossi founded The Influence, which released a single self-titled album in 1968, but despite its popularity disbanded shortly after touring in Toronto and New York. He soon put together the power trio "Charlee", performing in public with energetic hard rock action films of his own composition. In the mid-70s, Rossi took up a solo career, releasing several quite successful solo works. He played with Jimi Hendrix, Little Richard, Janis Joplin, performed with the Doors and Steppenwolf, at one time, for various reasons, turned down offers to join Janis Joplin and Three Dog Night. In 1979, he received the prestigious Canadian Music Award in the "Most Promising Male Vocalist Of The Year" nomination, beating Bryan Adams.
