At the end of June, the Supreme Court ruled in Kennedy v. Bremerton School District that a football coach at a public high school had a constitutional right to pray on the field. We spoke to Rachel Laser, President and CEO with Americans United for the Separation of Church and State, and Jeremy Dys, Senior Counsel with First Liberty and attorney to Coach Kennedy, about how this has affected public prayer so far, what it means for church-state separation, and how this will shape similar cases going forward.
