From bombs to booze, artists unveil work as The Glasgow School of Art Postgraduate Degree Show returns to Garnethill for the first time since lock down.
Iraqi artist, Zainab Aldehaimy gives visitors an insight into her childhood experiences in Baghdad with her bomb (fake) installation; Scottish artist, Alistair Bamforth invites us into a life-size take on Knoydart’s protest pub in work flagging up land and property ownership issues in Scotland; Yves Leather shows in Inflated Pleasure - a mammoth, bright red inflatable gun.
These are among the works that will be unveiled as The Glasgow School of Art Postgraduate Degree Show returns to Garnethill for the first time since lockdown. The Fine Art exhibition runs from 20 – 26 August 2022, and features work by students on the MLitt in Fine Art Practice, MLitt in Curatorial Practice (contemporary art) and MLitt in Art Writing programmes.
Postgraduate Degree Show (Fine Art) is open daily: 10am – 8pm Monday – Friday; 10am – 6pm Saturday/Sunday
Work by Architecture, Design, Innovation and Simulation & Visualisation students will be shown in the Reid and Bourdon Buildings from 2 – 9 September.
