Siddique Kappan gets bail after 704 days

Siddique Kappan, a Kerala-based journalist, has got bail after nearly two years of imprisonment.
He was arrested by the Uttar Pradesh police when he was on his way to cover the Hathras incident on Oct 5, 2020.
A bench of Chief Justice UU Lalit and Justices PS Narasimha and S Ravindra Bhat have released him on bail, with the condition that he stays in Delhi for 6 weeks, after which he can travel to his home state Kerala.
