Birmingham headlines 31 October: Zombie knives found near children's playground

A public consultation is underway on how the region's rail services should run in the future. One plan would include an underground rail tunnel underneath Birmingham city centre. The West Midlands Combined Authority are seeking the public's say on their strategy to improve rail services.

A cannabis factory worth £100,000 has been discovered thanks to help from Birmingham residents. The factory was uncovered by Stockland Green neighbourhood police on Saturday. West Midlands Police have thanked the local community for their help.

Longbridge Police have recovered two large Zombie knives during an area search in bushes near a children's playground. In a tweet, they said that an investigation will follow to determine who these knives belonged to. They also said that each seizure is one less life threatened.
