What is hemogram?
The hemogram consists in the analysis of all blood cells, as well as the average volume of erythrocytes, the appearance of various cells, the hemoglobin content in erythrocytes, the ratio of the volume of erythrocytes to the total blood volume (hematocrit), cell count, hemoglobin content in the blood.
During this analysis, the number of such blood cells is established: erythrocytes, leukocytes, platelets.
The analysis reveals such disorders as: immune reactions, inflammation, anemia, hemoglobin abnormality, which deforms red blood cells (with sickle cell anemia), infection of cells with parasites (malaria), the presence of abnormal cells in the blood (leukemia, infectious mononucleosis).
