Residents in parts of Menindee told to evacuate as floodwaters rise

Residents in low lying parts of Menindee in the state's far west are being told to evacuate as water overflows the banks of the Darling River. A community meeting was held in the town last night where people expressed their anger at water NSW over releases from the weir.
