This is the introduction “song” to the CD album Will This Town Survive? Dwayne Salter is narrating and playing piano as well. His father and grandfather both played piano at the Methodist Church in Salter Path NC, so Dwayne came by his talent quite naturally.
This was recorded in my shed at our little place in Salter Path, then taken to Blue Creek Valley Farm where we lived to be edited and readied for the CD. Dwayne and his wife came up there to see us once and we had a wonderful three days together. Dwayne may have done some of the recording while visiting that time. I remember we had rib eyes and red wine one night. As Dwayne would say, “We et good.”
