Number of children staying home from class on the rise

New data shows the number of children staying home from school, whether because of mental health concerns or illness, is on the rise. The Productivity Commission has found that the national primary school attendance rate fell by 4 and a half per cent between 2021 and 2022, to just over 85 and a half per cent.
