Football referees in four English adult grassroots leagues are trialling the use of body cameras following a rise in abuse of match officials. The trial has been running for six weeks and is the first of its kind in world football. The camera does not record the entire match, but only when the referee activates it by clicking a button when they feel things on the pitch are getting heated. Results so far show no official has needed to activate the camera, suggesting it is working as a deterrent. Report by Jonesia.
