Près de 300 jours après sa dernière victoire - sur la 4e étape de la Route d'Occitanie 2022 - Niccolo Bonifazio a de nouveau levé les bras ce mercredi sur la 2e étape du Tour de Sicile. C'est également son premier succès sous ses nouvelles couleurs, lui qui a rejoint la formation Intermarché-Circus-Wanty à l'inter-saison. "C'est ma première victoire de la saison. J'ai beaucoup travaillé cet hiver, j'étais déjà en bonne forme sur le Tour d'Andalousie et ça a continué, mais je n'ai pas eu ma chance", explique Bonifazio à l'arrivée. "Et j'ai attendu jusqu'à aujourd'hui. J'ai commencé la course motivé et j'ai fait un travail parfait."
