00:00 Hi, I'm Lisa Lillian, also known as Hungry Girl, and we are here right now at the Food
00:10 Network Kitchens.
00:11 Now, we all want to eat the foods we want to eat, right?
00:13 We want to eat indulgent things like fettuccine Alfredo and chicken wings and brownies and
00:18 brownie muffins, but we all want to fit into our pants, right?
00:22 Am I wrong?
00:23 No, I'm not.
00:24 So how do you do it?
00:25 It's all about finding ingredients that you can use to make these decadent foods have
00:30 way fewer calories and fat grams.
00:32 So today, I have for you some of my favorite secret Hungry Girl ingredients.
00:37 Secret.
00:38 So pay attention.
00:39 Watch closely.
00:40 First up, now this is fettuccine Alfredo.
00:42 Most fettuccine Alfredo has hundreds of calories, close to 1,000 calories, dozens of fat grams.
00:48 Why?
00:49 Well, A, noodles are crazy high in fat and calories.
00:52 Usually there's some heavy cream sauce.
00:55 Crazy cheeses.
00:56 The secret ingredient here, first and foremost, these are tofu shirataki noodles.
01:01 Do not be scared of them.
01:02 They're floating in a liquid in a bag, but they're great.
01:04 They're made of tofu and yam flour.
01:06 This whole bag has just 40 calories.
01:09 And then you mix that with a few key ingredients like this low-fat, creamy wedge cheese, only
01:13 35 calories a wedge, another one of my favorite ingredients, and you can make a fettuccine
01:18 Alfredo that clocks in with just 99 calories.
01:21 It's pretty amazing and it tastes great.
01:24 Again, these tofu noodles, life-changing.
01:26 Moving on to hot wings.
01:28 Hot wings.
01:29 We've all been there.
01:30 You know, you go out for a few drinks maybe.
01:32 I don't know if you're of age.
01:33 You get some wings at a bar.
01:35 They're very fatty, high in calories, high in fat, and typically deep fried.
01:41 Mine are not deep fried.
01:42 They're baked.
01:43 But get this.
01:44 I coat those wings with high-fiber breakfast cereal.
01:48 High-fiber breakfast cereal and fat-free barbecue potato chips.
01:51 You put those two things in a blender, turn it into like a breadcrumb.
01:54 Amazing.
01:55 So you take your raw chicken, you dip it in hot sauce, which adds a ton of flavor and
02:00 of course makes everything taste like wings.
02:02 Then you roll it in your breadcrumb mixture and you bake it.
02:05 You can eat five of those wings for 175 calories.
02:09 That is pretty cool.
02:10 Try that one too.
02:11 Okay, next up, brownie muffins.
02:14 Yum, yum brownie muffins.
02:16 Now, see this?
02:17 This is a box of devil's food cake mix.
02:20 Typically the box will tell you, add oil, add eggs, sometimes butter.
02:24 Instead of doing any of that, be a rebel.
02:27 Ignore those directions and add one can of pumpkin.
02:31 Pumpkin low in fat, low in calories, high in fiber, and all you do is mix these two
02:35 things together and then bake at a 400 degree oven for 20 minutes and you get beautiful,
02:41 fudgy, moist brownie muffins, just 180 calories.
02:47 Very very good.
02:48 You can fool anyone with these muffins, I promise you.
02:50 And they have fiber.
02:51 Well, there you have it.
02:52 Now, for more recipes, you want to tune into my show on Food Network.
02:56 It's called Hungry Girl and it's on Sunday mornings.
