00:00 Hi, I am the nutrition expert Nisha and I welcome you all to Taladar's Kitchen. Today
00:13 I am going to be making a healthy low calorie snack, baked methi puris. As the name says,
00:24 the recipe definitely makes use of fenugreek leaves and it is combined with whole wheat
00:29 flour. All in one, it's a combined package of nutrients like vitamin A, protein, calcium
00:37 and iron. So this can be relished by every age group, be it kids to adults and definitely
00:45 by pregnant women. Also if you are diabetic or you have a cardiac problem because this
00:51 recipe makes use of very little oil and it has fenugreek leaves which is good for diabetes
00:57 as well as heart patients. For this recipe we need whole wheat flour, fenugreek leaves,
01:13 turmeric powder, chilli powder, coriander cumin seeds powder, salt and oil. So we begin,
01:23 we will take the whole wheat flour first, fenugreek leaves, a little turmeric powder,
01:35 chilli powder. Now this chilli powder you can adjust depending on whom you are making
01:41 the recipe for. If it's for kids, you put a little less chilli powder. Coriander cumin
01:47 seeds powder, salt and a little oil. Mix it well. If you've noticed I've added very little
02:04 oil so this recipe can be enjoyed by all. Knead it into a stiff dough using water. And
02:27 now we'll keep this aside for 10-15 minutes and then start rolling. So let's begin making
02:34 our puris. Take a small portion of the dough and start rolling it. I'm going to be making
02:45 small puris but you can make of the size you wish to. Also since these are baked, do not
02:54 roll them very thick. We'll grease the baking tray with a little oil and place these puris
03:21 in the tray. Make these puris in batches of 6-8 depending on the size of your baking tray.
03:33 I have made 4 puris here. Now we'll prick them little with a fork and bake them at 180
03:40 degree celsius for 15-20 minutes. Our baked puris are ready. Serve them whenever you feel
03:50 hungry during snack time or in between meals but ensure that you store them in an airtight
03:56 container.
