The New Year Make Up and Hair eye makeup tutorial

00:00 So grabbing my Age Rewind concealer in Neutralizer, I'm just gonna twist this
00:09 and very gently pat this all over my eye area. I'm gonna focus this on my
00:13 under eyes because I do have some dark circles. I'm also gonna bring this over
00:17 my lids just to have it a little bit more even, and I'm gonna use this as a
00:20 slight highlighter over my cheekbones, across the top of my nose, and right
00:25 around my croupids bone and covering one scar blemish that I have. Sorry about the
00:29 odd lighting, my camera was acting up. I'm gonna very gently blend this in with my
00:33 fingers and just make sure that everything is very nice and even.
00:38 Now with my Too Faced Lemon Drop eyeshadow primer, this is a great yellow
00:45 color to help neutralize any blue or purple veining that you have over your
00:48 eyelids. I'm gonna very gently with my ring fingers apply this on the upper and
00:53 lower lids just to make sure that all of my shadows go on seamlessly and vibrant.
00:59 Now with my Too Faced Brownie eyebrow pencil with a nice sharp point, I'm gonna
01:05 very gently with very quick and short strokes just drawing my eyebrows just to
01:09 give them a little bit more definition. A good thing about a bold look is that you
01:13 can have bolder brows and just make sure that the edges are all very nice and
01:16 clean and even. And to make sure that it does look a little bit more realistic
01:19 and that your eyebrows are not completely drawn on, make sure to use the spoolie end
01:23 of the brush.

01:41 Now with my Color Tattoo in Bad to the Bronze, I'm going to apply this with a
01:45 small eyeshadow brush and I'm gonna focus this on the outer corner of my eye
01:49 just so it has a nice gradient effect. And I'm gonna pat this on and while I am
01:53 patting it on, I am also gonna focus on the eye shape that I want. I want very
01:56 clean edges so having a good solid colored base will help with that.

02:08 Now with a large fluffy brush in Mac Espresso, this is a beautiful matte brown
02:13 shade. I'm gonna use this on my crease just and just above and I'm going to
02:17 blend this a lot just to make sure that I have a very nice gradient for my crease
02:21 and when I apply other shadows.

02:31 Now for the very top of my lid, I'm going to use Urban Decay Mushroom and this is
02:36 a beautiful silver shade. I'm gonna come in with my Real Techniques eyeshadow
02:40 brush and I'm going to pat this on just on my lid and I'm gonna have be a little
02:43 bit heavier handed on the outer corners just so it also has a nice smoky effect.

02:55 Now using another makeup brush as a guideline, I'm going to use my same Real
02:58 Techniques brush with Mushroom and I'm going to just focus on the outer corners
03:01 just to help bring out the eye shape that I am striving for and just to make
03:05 my outer corner a little bit more deep in color.

03:22 Now using the same makeup brush and Urban Decay Blackout, I'm going to use a
03:26 smudging eyeliner brush and I'm going to use this as a guideline just for my
03:30 lower lash line and bring this up where my eye shape wants to go. I'm also gonna
03:33 drag it all along my crease just give it a little bit more definition and depth.

03:49 Now with a larger fluffier brush, I'm going to come in and I'm going to blend
03:52 out all that blackout and mix it in with that mushroom just so it gives a little
03:56 bit more of a hazy effect.

04:05 Now with a flat edge concealer brush, I'm going to emphasize the eye shape I
04:08 want which is more of like a cat wing and I'm going to use the eye concealer
04:12 that I used earlier and I'm just going to cleanly define my edges and I'm going
04:17 to bring it down just to blend it out and use my ring fingers to dab in the
04:20 color.

04:30 Now using your favorite liquid liner, this is my favorite the Urban Decay 24/7
04:35 liquid liner in black, I'm just going to come along and I'm just very gently and
04:40 very thinly going to create a nice winged liner.

04:56 Now with your favorite volumizing mascara, this is the Rocket Volume Express
05:00 by Maybelline in waterproof.
05:02 I'm just going to apply this all over my lashes that have already been pre-curled
05:05 and just make sure that everything is nice and bold and emphasized.

05:14 Now I do this part last, but this is highlighting. I'm going to come in with
05:17 Urban Decay Sin. I'm going to come in with a small fluffy brush and I'm just
05:20 going to apply this on like the inner quarter of my eyelid and kind of
05:23 emphasize the crease and also add this to the very lower eyelid and I'm also
05:28 going to come in on my brow bone and I'm going to emphasize this right where my
05:32 arch begins and along the tail.

05:37 Now with some super waterproof eyeliner, this is Bad Gal Liner by Benefit.
05:41 I'm going to come in and do my waterline and just do it a couple times to make
05:45 sure that it is extremely black. I'm also going to come in on the upper lash line
05:48 and tightline that as well.

06:00 And with your favorite matte bronzer, mine currently is the Too Faced
06:03 Chocolate Soleil bronzer. I'm going to come in with a small contour brush. This
06:07 one is by e.l.f. and I'm just going to add this to the hollows of my cheeks just
06:11 so I have the most product emphasized right there.

06:30 Now with a face powder brush, I'm going to blend in all the bronzer that I just
06:33 added and I'm also going to add this to the rest of my face just so I have a nice
06:37 glow.

06:46 Now coming in with my Milani Baked Blush in Luminoso, this is going to act as my
06:50 highlighter as well as my blush. I'm going to come in with my Real Techniques
06:54 Stippling Blush and I'm going to aim at this for the outside apples of my cheeks
06:58 and I'm going to slightly blend this up where the highlighter would rest, but it's
07:01 also going to blend in with the bronzer. I'm going to do this very gently and
07:05 sparingly just so it's not overdone.

07:14 Now to add some little color to my lips, I'm going to use Fig Jam by the Revlon
07:18 Lip Butter Collection. It does look very dark, but it does go apply on very sheer
07:22 just to give your lips a little bit more color and a little bit more of a vampy
07:25 feel. This is perfect for the colder seasons just to give a little bit more of a
07:29 bold look to your makeup.
07:31 So to go with a bolder makeup, I thought you would do a little bit more of an
07:35 edgier style. This is a very sheer tank top that is cut off and so you can have a
07:39 bright colored bandeau or bralette like I have and also to kick off the new year, I
07:44 also decided to have a little bit more of an edgier style so I did cut my hair to
07:48 accommodate that. So just to give myself a little bit more edge.

07:54 Hey guys, thank you for watching this makeup tutorial. I am so glad I was able to
07:58 do this right as the new year. This was my personal way of kicking off the new
08:02 year. I wanted to try something different beyond my own comfort zone to see if I
08:06 liked it and I do a lot. So first off, my goal is to have a little bit more bolder
08:12 makeup, a little bit more stylish and fashion sense. I don't have very much. And
08:17 the way I felt like that it kicked it off was my hair. Hair grows back so if you're
08:23 worried about having a haircut that you don't like and that it seems a little bit
08:26 drastic, beautiful thing is that hair grows back. So if I don't like this, this will
08:30 be gone in a couple months. So not too worried but thankfully I do like it. For a
08:35 little bit more details, I have just choppy layers starting off about bang length, so
08:39 right here at eye level and then they taper down. Very few, I have like three
08:43 tiers of layers until it reaches the end of my hair which is right around my bust
08:47 line. So I have very fine hair so I can't have as many layers as others because it
08:52 would make my ends really mousy. But the more detailed part of this is my side of
08:58 the head where I decided to pretty much bug all my hair off. I was striving for
09:04 something like an Ellie Goulding like side cut and that's what I wanted. I didn't
09:08 want like the full side of my head, I just wanted a little bit. And the beautiful
09:12 thing about this is that if I have my hair forward and I'm not having it tucked
09:16 behind my ear and I have all my hair forward, it's not that noticeable so and
09:21 it's easily hidden by a hat which is the beautiful thing. So if I wanted a little
09:25 bit more of a girl next door look, I can have all my hair forward. And if I wanted
09:30 something a little bit more different that I think is different, I can just put
09:34 all my hair to the side or I can even put it up and have like a really nice updo
09:38 which is really really simple. But let me know if you want to see any more
